Final week
Tuesday, September 24, 2013
One very weird day. I fought for whats mine, and alhamdulillah its still mine. People can be mean. I'm just sad, that some people have the heart to do such a thing. I pray they'll turn over a new leaf, someday. And i'm thankful for everything i have today. I'll take it as a reminder, to never takes things for granted. May Allah ease everything. InsyaAllah.

Random small packages
U know those days when u woke up feeling sad?
Well, this is one of those days. I dont know what i'm doing up this late and not studying. I'm missing that sandwich i had for breakfast/lunch/dinner. Can't believe i've never gave it a chance before. It was suprisingly good. Maybe cause it is turkish.
I really love the 2lira chicken doner i had, back when i visit turkey in 2nd year, or is it 3rd year?. Don't know if i was just hungry, or it was really that good. Either way, i miss it. and that yummy waffle i had in Princess? Island.
Don't u just love, that very little thing can make u happy. Like when u just watched a very good movie, or had a very good meal, or when u got something u really wanted., or, just whatever, that makes u happy. I don't think online shopping gives u the same high tho. Just concluded my last purchase on taobao.com.
Don't know how many hours i spent there ogling at pretty dresses, and pretty models. Its made in china, but it looks pretty, and i have a birthday present coupon, meaning i can choose which ever (one) for my birthday from adik, so i figured why not. Tho that doesn't explain the other 3 dresses i bought.
Whatever,
its pretty.
Its really pretty!
So my current little thing is this very small musical candle that i got on my birthday. It sings happy birthday in english! It has a little on and off switch so u can conserve battery. I listen to it from time to time. Like a musical box. It was really cheap, 5le a piece. Plus u get another 3 cute candles in assorted colours. I absolutely love it! and no i didn't buy it myself, it was a gift.
I spent a lot of time trying to get that photo up, so i'm gonna go catch up on some sleep now. Nite.

Facial masks
So, today is mask day, after days of procrastination. The idea of clay mask freaks me out sometimes. It is supposed to pull out all the gunk stuffing your pores to surface. This would sometimes, or most of the time for me, lead to break outs. Which is why i never follow through with it.
Once i have the guts to try it, my skin breaks out --> i freaks out --> never used it again. Until i gathered the courage to try again, and the cycle goes on, and on.
Theoretically it would clean up our pores, and if used regularly will prevent breakouts. So, the bad part is just the first time. On regular use our skin will be free of whiteheads or blackheads, no breakouts, life is beautiful, and we live happily ever after.
This, is of course, theoretically.
I've tried a few, origins clear improvement mask breaks me out big time, i tried very hard to like it, but, no, it just wouldn't work for me, so i have to hide it somewhere so i would never try it again. Very nice smell though.Tried to give it away, but no, my sisters wouldn't even use facial cleansers on regular basis.
Tried clean and clear, breaks me out too, but not as bad as origins' did. Tried kose, but i think its a different kind of mask.

Comfort food
Don't worry, i'm not gonna torture you with pictures of good food. This isn't one of those.
The buka puasa instagram pictures is driving me crazy. I just wanna pack my bags and go home! to the glorious mom-made foods. This is depressing, Larynx is soo hard, i've been at it for agesss, but i can't whine, cause people are gonna judge. I wish i can still go on about my day and bore you with the details and exaggeration, but comfort, is rare.
I guess it goes with you.
sigh,
i need to calm down, ice-cream will do. for breakfast.

Clinique turnaround overnight radiance moisturizer (review)
Hi girls!
I'm finally doing this review,

Disclaimer: This is an honest review of Clinique turnaround overnight radiance moisturizer . I am not paid nor sponsored to do this review.
I think it had been almost 2 months or so, of using this, and i'm totally in love. So much that i thought i'd share the news with you girls, hee. It doesn't clog my pores, which is rare, since, even toothpastes breaks me out.
This product moisturizes, and exfoliates at the same time. Which is brilliant, cause i've tried a lot, and i figured, your skin needs to be well moisturized to shed off.
All the scrubs, peels, and scar remover wont do you any good without a good moisturizer. The dead skin cell is just gonna sit there and pile up, giving you dull and lusterless skin.
It is also gentle enough for daily use, i use it morning and night for radiance and glow, that i don't even bother to use a scrub anymore. I used to scrub everyday, but, not anymore :) I'm glad i'm over those days. Scrubing can go wrong sometimes.
Plus exfoliation really helps with my post-acne scarring and refines my skin textures. But you might wanna go slow initially, so that your skin can adjust to the exfoliation first. My skin exfoliates big time when i first use it, but it only sheds off during cleansing. So, don't have to worry about flaky skin.
I love this thing :)
Its just a moisturizer, not even a serum so i wasn't really expecting much when i got this. It was an impulse buy, since they have this on sale. I got this at almost half the price, plus lots of freebies, and i'm glad i did.
Definitely a keeper. I've tried a sample of Clinique even better moisturizer which i got for free, it was good, as a simple moisturizer, but nowhere near as good as this one.
The downside, is that its pricey, and smells a little weird, but it will go away eventually, i don't smell it anymore, doesn't really bothers me. I don't think its available here in egypt too :(
You can check out the ingredients at their official website, i threw the boxes off already.
This is how it looks like, gel-cream consistency, i think its oil free.

So generous, you feel less guilty about your impulse buy

Wishlist
This,
*dreamy eyes*
Sounds promising,
i've tried the turnaround overnight, and i loveee it
*sigh*, i should stop experimenting on myself
Okay, you're a girl, we got it, moving on,,
I'm hungry, my sweet tooth demands deserts, but she's not getting any. I've been wandering all day, from stalking facebook profiles, window shopping on sephora online, sorting my emails, looking into the mirror, doing laundry, brushing my hair, refreshing twitter, frying burgers, picking carrots off my nasi goreng, updating blogpost, to staring blankly at my downloads, just anything,
instead of studying.
I should go now,
I still have carrots to pick

Travel essentials
Today, we(me and ella) were thinking which shoes would take us to great places this semester break, but we end up "spring cleaning" our mini-shoe-closet. I figured, i have lots of heels, which i don't wear at all nowadays, sigh.
I keep wearing the same old shoe, sigh, i'm boring.
Still, a girl can never have too many shoes. I still can't resist the temptations of a pretty pair when shopping.
They are not at all comfy, my feet would hurt after few hours, but we still need them to look pretty, to boost confidence, to drool on, to glide on, and of course, to sleep better at night.
I'm hoping winter would pass quickly to start rotating them again, so they won't bug me during afterlife. I would totally wear them tomorrow if my elective class wasn't on the tenth floor(i'm assuming, since it takes forever to climb) with no lift(another assumption, since i always take the stairs). Bottom line, i still haven't figured which shoe to bring along.
But, i'm totally bringing this..

I think it would be great for travelling since, it is sooo cute and all. I got this on sale too!
Cheap, i know.
Jaja would love this too, since she's the one who suggested travel pillow.
Did u see how i can just put it around the luggage handle? That, is so convenient. I can't stop talking about how great this would be, but still can't make ella buy one. She is soo gonna regret it.
The only downside, is that it allows spot cleaning only.
I really can't wait :)

Bioderma White Objective SERUM ECLAIRCISSANT Lightening Serum (review)
Hi guys,
I wrote this months ago, to publish in a review site, but it didn't make it, so i'm sharing this here. but, this is my first time writing reviews, so please don't judge k?
So here it goes, enjoy :)
Disclaimer: This is an honest review of Bioderma White Objective SERUM ECLAIRCISSANT Lightening Serum based on my regular usage of this product for almost 3 month .I am not paid nor sponsored to do this review
This serum has a transparent gel like consistency. I use it AM and PM daily, i know it is supposed to be a night serum, but i use it anyway. My first experience wasn’t very pleasant, it does sting a bit when i first use it, but after 2 days, the stinging disappears.
After my first night of using this serum, i noticed complete disappearance of visible, dehydration lines or premature fine wrinkles on my forehead and corners of my eyes. I know it wasn’t supposed to do that, but it was a drastic change, my skin appears plumped, and healthier. Maybe it was because of the vitamin C content of the serum.
After what seems like 2 week, my whole face did seems a bit lightened and radiant. My post-acne pigmentation does fade a little, not very much, but it does speeds up the fading of my scars.
After 3 weeks, i was convinced that it didn’t clog my pores, the ingredients were free too, but i’m only convinced after 3 weeks of using this product. The following are the copied from their official site.
Ingredients
WATER (AQUA), ALCOHOL DENAT., GLYCOLIC ACID, SODIUM HY- DROXIDE, ASCORBYL GLUCOSIDE, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, NIACINAMIDE, LYSINE AZELATE, ANDROGRAPHIS PANICULATA LEAF EXTRACT, GLYCYRRHIZA GLABRA (LICORICE) ROOT EXTRACT, HEXAPEP-TIDE-2, RHAMNOSE, MANNITOL, XYLITOL, FRUCTOOLIGOSACCHARIDES, AMMONIUM ACRYLOYL DIMETHYLTAURATE/VP COPOLYMER, HYDROXYETHYLCELLULOSE, POLYSORBATE 20, SODIUM METABISULFITE.
It is a fragrance-free formula, as it is formulated for sensitive skin, but the tingling sensation may be worse for sensitive people, and after scrubbing your face. Its nothing major, just a mild tingling sensation for me that last for about 7 minutes.
Method of action *copied from their website
• White Objective Serum, night care with the patented W.O.® complex, lightens, evens and illuminates the complexion. It helps to eliminate brown spots and prevents their reappearance.
• Vitamin C, released gradually for long-term effectiveness, decreases the number of melanin pigments contained in the epidermis. Thus it reduces existing hyperpigmentation and prevents future pigmentation.
• BIODERMA innovation, the patented W.O.® works on the main mechanisms that cause skin pigmentation. The original nature of this multi-target attack ensures optimum lightening and preventive performance.
• The intensive “peeling” action of glycolic acid triggers the elimination of heavily pigmented cells, reduces the intensity of the brown spots and reveals a radiant face.
• The White Objective Serum “gel” texture is particularly pleasant and refreshing.
The skin is lighter, even and luminous.
I personally like this serum because it has vitamin C in it, vitamin C, besides for lightening purposes, also works as an antioxidant that can fight aging, since applied topically directly to the face, it is more effective. The vitamin C is preserved in a vial in powder form, which is the best way to keep it active and unaltered because vitamins are easily spoilt, first usage will need u to break the vial and pour it inside the tube containing the rest of the serum, and mix it well, and voila, your serum is fresh as it could ever be, but the thing is with vitamin C, it oxidizes in time. So after a lot of months the effect weren’t as good as it was at the first usage.

Hi people?
I hope its not too late to say Happy Ramadhan, I'm still here, egypt. Done with the finals(hope so) but still here for the elective courses, bummer! Will finish it by 23rd insyaallah, and fly home on 25th.
I really can't wait to at least finish the elective, waking up at 8 straight to shivering cold shower, is really too much, even in summer. Yeah, cause i got this "holiday, i'm-supposed-to-be-at-home" attitude going on.
So, i haven't blog for a while that it got awkward. I got few drafts saved but i'm hesitating whether to post it or not. Figured, i should go casual first, so here i am, casual.
Today is friday, i'm thinking sedentry life, or maybe some laundry later. Fasting in summer wasn't as bad as i imagined would be. It was ok, that 16h? was bearable. Just currently losing appetite, and some weight, but that's ok. I'll gain those fats back during raya. Cause of the time difference, u guys in Malaysia get to breakfast earlier, and i find it annoying to be on twitter during malaysian breakfast time, when they uploaded their chicken curry, sate, and stuffs, we can make chicken curry too! just, different colour..............and, taste, but its still good!
anyway, selamat berbuka~its almost time in Malaysia, i'm getting off of internet. later peeps

But everything is gonna be fine
How was your day? Mine was ok, got class and stuffs. It feels good to be back on the net again. My broadband is giving me a hard time these few days, as if punching a big hole on my wallet monthly as it is wasn't enough. He had to double that this time, when i'm really trying to save up. Yes, i'm naming him Bad, cause he is such a bad ass. And mobinil has a very,,very,,very, bad customer service. If it happens again, i'm never gonna feed u any topup again, and yes, i'm looking at u Bad.
On top of that, I wasn't feeling very well these days. Sore throat, runny nose and stuffs. It kinda sucks, plus the lack of internet, but after today's tazkirah, it felt bearable. Wish to get better soon. Paediatrics is almost over, and i haven't really gotten the hang of it. I haven't even give out any of the sweets that i got for the kids. Cause most of our cases were babies, they don't even have enough teeth yet. Plus, i don't think the mother would be happy if we gave their kids sweets, i know i wouldn't.
In short, i'm not happy :( but everything should get better soon right? Rightt?

Here, everything is possible
Yup, u heard right.
I don't know if u can imagine, but this 2 guys are hanging their legs down from the trunk of a moving car. I think they must've a very good reason to do that, i mean a VERY good one, a life or death kinda reason. Cause it looks dangerously crazy.
but, anything is possible here, so, no surprise there.
anyway, i'm hungry :( and i think i smell donuts -_-'
i'm being delusional, but a sugar glazed donuts would be perfect for now

This summer
Summer in here,
Its getting hot, and sweaty. In paediatrics round, we have our clinical rounds in the morning at syatby hospital, which is about 2 kilometres away from my house, i really don't know how many is actually 2 km, but it looks that far for me. Sometimes i walk myself home, but most of the time i took a cab. Either way, it is still hot and sweaty.
With a lot of sun, comes the tan and wrinkles. I tried to get away from that, by walking home wearing a cap, u know, my germany world cup cap, but it was white. I don't wanna stain it. I love that cap! it holds memory of our crazy football days ;) plus people are giving weird looks, u know, tudungs doesn't get along really well with caps. So i got myself an umbrella instead, but it still doesn't work out, cause you see, my house is near the beach, so the wind is giving my umbrella a lot of resistance, so i can't use it either.
There's no way u can survive summer without at least deodorant, i mean, if u planned to survive while smelling pleasant. I really wish that there is actually a rule to take an effective shower before going to see your doctor, i mean, we have rules to brush our teeth before going to a dentist right? so we should have one for going to hospitals too. Kesian la at the doctors and students and interns.
Today is soo hot, i caught myself giving murderous look at my hair. Talking about hair, i bought myself a new shampoo, i think this one is gooood, and cheap as well. Costs 3 times less than my old one. I guess "New, is aaalways better" :)
and Yesterday, i went to orchid, but they were closed :( so i had lunch at coffee bean instead. I hope they're not closed forever, that's like my favourite ever restaurant, here. Orchid is super sedap, well, not everything, but if you order the right thing, it is! I already hafal their names, sedih la if closed :(
This summer is making me fat, i think i'm gaining fats on my cheeks, but my weight doesn't change. I think its the muscle weight more that fat thingy. Think i'm losing muscle and gaining fat. Is there even such a thing? Cause lately, i'm always hungry and feeding myself.
Hmm, its been quite sometime, my hardees should be here, later peeps :)

Paediatrics babies
So, i'm already 2 days into paediatrics rotation now. It was ok, i kinda like the paediatrics ward. They seems personalize it to fit with the patients. There were mickey mouse, donald duck, tweety, and many other cartoon characters on the walls, some drawings are educating the children to brush their teeth, to wash their hands and stuff, i think they're cute, and the tweety even helped me find my way to the ward this morning.
I couldn't recall, which floor was my class, but luckily enough, i remembered how tweety was on the wall of a floor below my class's floor. So i didn't get lost today. I had always been directionally challenged, even in my 2nd year, i still find myself a little lost on my way to the morgue, which i regularly went to, for 2 years already at the time. I'm clumsy like that.
In paediatrics, our patients are kids, and being kids, they cries a lot, sometimes they got cranky, which makes examinations and inspection a lot harder than they already are, but i think sweets will win them. Even the professors seems a lot nicer here. Dealing with kids does makes u a better person, or is it the other way around? It is sad though to see the kids, down with diseases, when they should be out playing and giving their mommies a hard time cleaning up the mess. Lets wish them well, shall we?

Post-exam wishlist *kinda
I was just done with Ortopeadic OSCE exam this morning. Yesterday it was an MCQs and presentations, and in 2 days, i'll be having Obstetrics and gynecology OSCE's exam. Pray for me yah?
I really can't wait to get back to my lazy-no-exam-self. A lot of stuffs are building in my after-exam-to-do list. I've got movies to catch, grocery shopping to do, great foods that i miss, and i even had a dream of buying a cake this evening, why didn't i eat it in my dream when i got the chance? Why did i even buy it if i wasn't gonna eat it? I really don't understand myself. Sometimes, i wanted something so bad, i'd go all out to get it, but when i have it. It didn't look as tempting anymore. I think its all about the chase, i love the challenge of getting stuff, not actually the stuff itsef. Its really tiring and pointless even, so I have to tell myself at all times to behave. All this cravings should stop, but they never really did stop. I just can't listen to myself.
So, I've been reserving all these movies for after the exam, ok, i wasn't really reserving, i got people to download it for me, but they won't pass it over yet, at least not untill the exam is over. See, i got people watching over for me, or else, i'll just watch it regardless of the exam.
i wanna watch insidous too, but i don't wanna post a scary poster on my blogpost. Have u watched them? I hope they are worth dowloading, hee, u should go watch them too.
Ok, back to books! :P
